At Seza, we take pride in utilizing the most refined masters of every facet in jewellery design. Our artisans sculpt and chisel form into being using only the purest and most conscious means possible.
Aware of our magnificent founding locale, Seza pays homage to Aotearoa through design. That is why all Seza pieces are designed right here in New Zealand.
Like the wine groves in the Toscana countryside, the terroir of our metals are fundamental to the core ethos of Seza. As the Seza saying goes, “what ingredients are to a chef is what gold is to the jeweller”. Thus, we traversed the world over to find the finest purveyors of precious metal and partnered with an exceptional, local studio in Veneto, Italy; supplying the canvas with which we brush our creations into being.
Lastly, our atelier was to be the defining quality of Seza; to be undoubtedly unbeaten in artistic finesse and curating refined aesthetics. It is thus that all our masterpieces are handcrafted and hand polished in Italy by our artisan boutique studio.
-
The exquisite and intricate nature of every Seza masterpiece requires absolute passion and our artisans spare no expense nor constraint in sculpting elegance. It is thus that every Seza is handmade, hand polished, hand packed and packaged by our artisans and curators ensuring no minute detail is unaccounted for. All Seza masterpieces are made to your order and takes on average 6 weeks to craft and shipping varies based on location
Due to our creations being made to order, we hold no stock to encourage minimal waste in our atelier.
Also note all Seza creations are handmade and therefore minor variations can exist between pieces.
-
All of our alloys are 100% Nickel, Lead and Tungsten free making all Seza rings hypoallergenic thus perfectly suited for all skin types.
-
Seza’s first point of call was to eliminate the use of precious stones. Having analysed and studied the industry, we can confidently announce that the Kimberley process for vetting precious stones, especially diamonds is ethically questionable and at times fraudulent. This goes against the morality of the company’s ethos and thus we removed stones from the equation. While lab grown stones may be a viable option, the technology currently available does not justify the negative environmental outputs it creates but it will be something that Seza monitors for the future.
Next was to perfect the means of acquiring metal. Jewellery requires precious metal from ores which are mined from the ground that were formed since time immemorial. These ores are dug up in monumental pits scattered across the globe using petrol thirsty equipment and intense manual labour which then goes to a processing plant to be refined, purified and distributed. To us, this ancient method of extracting precious metals was unnecessarily dangerous, environmentally destructive and ethically questionable.
We decided to wipe the slate clean, choosing not to ever associate ourselves with these practices. After months of research, development and discussion, we found a partner in Veneto, Italy that shared our principles of operation and mission for change
Having partnered with the Responsible Jewellery Council and their subsidiary, Chain of Custody, We at Seza guarantee that all our precious metals are 100% RECYCLED from a controlled supply chain certified by the COC.
This means that:
· 0% of our metals come from CAHRA [Conflict Affected and High Risk Areas]
· We do not mine a single ounce of precious metal from the Earth
· We have 0% wastage in the manufacturing and production process
· We are 100% ethical and require no labour force of any kind
This is but one instance of how Seza rewrites the rules. For more information about our sustainability and ethical practices, see our Ethics and Gazette pages.

6. WARRANTIES
-
All our masterpieces come with a lifetime craftsmanship warranty.
The lifetime guarantee covers any issues caused by a manufacturing fault—specifically, any issues caused by a defect in making your ring.
The guarantee does not include wear and tear, product loss, or theft. The manufacturing warranty excludes damage or loss caused by not carrying out the repairs required to preserve the piece's structural integrity as part of the included care plan.
Generally, the things that are caused as part of wear and tear are:
Discoloration of metals caused by chemicals, make-up, pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
Wearing out, loosening or bending of the metal over time due to everyday wear or damage resulting fissures.
If your piece has an issue, bring it or return it to us. We’ll cover the shipping if you’re in New Zealand or Australia.
We’ll inspect the piece and assess whether the issue is due to manufacturing or wear and tear.
We will repair or exchange the item for free if it is due to manufacturing.
Details of this warranty are found in our Terms and Conditions.
7. RESIZING & MAINTENANCE
-
Your ring should glide past your knuckle with a slight embrace, ensuring it doesn't pinch or constrict upon resting on your finger.
-
Please refer to our ring size chart for guidance or get in touch with our designers for further assistance. Note we are not responsible for any incorrect self measurement.
-
Seza Jewellery is meticulously conceived and exquisitely crafted for the discerning connoisseur. Our pieces are designed to endure beyond generations, provided they receive the care and reverence they so richly deserve.
However, as you wear your piece and go about your daily life there will be knocks, scratches and signs of general wear and tear. This is perfectly normal and is to be expected. But it is important to remember, that while the materials used in your piece are hardwearing, fine jewellery requires some care and thought.
This guide will assist you in nurturing your exquisite piece, ensuring its beauty and security remains timeless.
Ring sizing
Ensure to get your finger-sized just before you place an order for your ring. Please note that your finger does shrink and expand depending on the season so make sure the ring setting you choose is not too tight.
Caring for your ring
We highly recommend that you take off your jewellery while playing sports, doing heavy lifting, cooking & cleaning, and applying make-up. This will mitigate the build-up of dust, sweat, and oils which can make your ring appear dull.
Cleaning your jewellery
To maintain your jewellery’s shine, cleaning should be done about two or three months. There are three key ways:
Soap and water - In a small bowl away from the drain, add lukewarm water and natural liquid soap. Allow your ring to sit in the mixture for a few minutes, then gently dry with a soft towel. Give it one final wipe with a polishing cloth before returning it to your finger. Do not use an abrasive cleaning detergent.
Jewellery cleaning solution - This straightforward method of cleaning means that you can place your ring directly in the solution, leave it to soak for a few minutes, and take it out to wipe down with a clean cloth. Again make sure your bowl is away from a drain. Many solutions come with a handy basket and a small brush directly in the container to make the cleaning process a breeze. Double-check your solution of choice to be sure that it will not cause damage to the specific metal of your jewellery.
Ultrasonic Jewellery Cleaner - Ultrasonic cleaners are used by jewellers as an effective way to clean jewellery. The tool uses high-frequency sound waves and gentle vibrations to attract any dust or debris that may be on your jewellery, which is a fast and efficient way to ensure your jewellery shines bright. Many of these machines can be purchased online or in your favourite home goods store.
A commitment to enduring elegance
Though your meticulously crafted jewellery is designed to outlast a lifetime, it is not impervious to the passage of time. To uphold its beauty, simple yet effective care is essential. We advise an annual visit to our atelier. We will provide expert cleaning and verify nothing is amiss. This proactive measure will not only preserve the integrity of your exquisite pieces but also extend their timeless allure for generations to come.
